JUDr. Kamil Podroužek

Kamil Podroužek graduated in 2000 from the Law School of the Masaryk University where, from 2002 to 2003, he also undertook his doctoral study in which he focused on the procedural requirements for civil proceedings. Kamil Podroužek acquired legal practice skills while working for one of the biggest Czech law firms and, later, for one of the leading law firms in Hradec Králové. In 2003, he set up his own legal practice. Kamil Podroužek has provided legal services primarily to entities operating in engineering, civil engineering, automotive and metallurgical industries.

Currently, Kamil Podroužek specialises mainly in contract law, copyright law, industrial property law, unfair competition law and criminal law with focus on economic crime. One of Kamil Podroužekʼs key specialisations is representing clients before judicial and arbitration bodies of the Czech Republic, including defence in criminal proceedings. Worth mentioning in this context is his involvement in disputes, conducted against state authorities as well as private entities, which had the value of several hundred millions of Czech crowns. These cases included disputes arising from contracts for work and public contracts, tax-related disputes and disputes in the field of medical law. Kamil Podroužek is an insolvency administrator and provides one-stop legal consultancy and services in relation to insolvency proceedings and insolvency resolution. He has obtained a special licence from the Czech Ministry of Justice, allowing him to perform the office of insolvency administrator of large businesses, including financial institutions.

Kamil Podroužek is an attorney-at-law and member of the Czech Bar Association. As well, he is a notified member of Česká insolvenční, v.o.s., a company operating as an insolvency administrator.


JUDr. Petr Moník, LL.M.

Mgr. Petr Moník, LL.M.

Petr Moník completed his study at the Law School of the University of West Bohemia in 2000. Subsequently, he undertook a foreign post-graduate programme at the London Metropolitan University in Great Britain where he received the degree Master of Laws (LL.M.) with Merit. He acquired his legal practice skills in one of the largest Czech law firms in Prague and, later, in a Prague branch of one of the largest international law firms globally (Allen & Overy, Prague).

Among others, Petr Moník has provided legal advice on a merger of a leading Czech dairy company, the financing of a developer group; the acquisition of a catering company operating at the Prague Airport, a legal audit for the purpose of a retail chain sale, a legal audit and subsequent implementation of greenfield projects of Korean and U.S. investors, joint administration and collection of a health facility’s claims. Currently, Petr Moník specialises primarily in company law, contract law and public procurement, and provides legal advice on international relationships. He speaks Czech and English fluently.

Petr Moník is an attorney-at-law and member of the Czech Bar Association.


JUDr. Mgr. Jaromír Petera

Jaromír Petera studied law at the Law School of the University in Hradec Králové and also the Law School of Charles University in Prague. At both of the Universities, he was awarded an honours degree for excellent results. In addition to that, at Charles University in Prague, he won the first place in the Students’ Scientific and Professional Activities Competition in the field of copyright law, organised by the Council of Higher Education Institutions. In 2008, he passed a doctoral examination at Charles University in Prague, focusing on intangible property rights and copyrights, an area he still focuses on as a lecturer.

In his practice, Jaromír Petera concentrates mainly on commercial law and administrative law, including construction law and real estate registration law, as well the area of torts and other administrative delicts. As far as these areas are concerned, Jaromír Petera has been instrumental in the resolution of a range of significant cases, including advice on international arbitration proceedings. Nevertheless, he provides legal advice also in the field of labour law and civil law. Jaromír Peter speaks Czech, his mother tongue, and English.

Jaromír Petera is an attorney-at-law and member of the Czech Bar Association.


Mgr. Tereza Karásková

Tereza Karásková graduated from the Law School of Charles University in Prague in 2009. During her study, she completed two terms at the Law School of the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen in the Netherlands where she focused, in particular, on commercial law, international law and European Union law. During her studies already and also later, as a trainee lawyer, she worked for one of the largest Czech law firms in Prague where she obtained extensive experience as a member of a team concentrating especially on litigation and arbitration proceedings and on the provision of comprehensive legal consultancy in the field of procedural and insolvency laws. In addition, Tereza Karásková has been involved in creating and managing a team specialising in the administration and collection of claim portfolios of banking as well as non-banking institutions and has worked on a range of projects for leading Czech and foreign banks, in particular in the area of optimising the process of doubtful debt settlement.

Tereza Karásková has obtained extensive experience with representing clients in judicial proceedings. As part of her focus on commercial law, she has advised, for instance, on a merger of major dairy companies, and has been involved in the restructuring of a group of Czech companies. Currently, she concentrates mainly on litigation, contract law, company law including company transformations, labour law and family law. Nevertheless, she also provides legal services in other areas of commercial and civil law. Her mother tongue is Czech and she also speaks English fluently.
